Volunteer

A volunteer is someone who gives their time, without pay, to help other people or to help a charitable cause.

By giving up some of your time to help us build on the good work we do, you’ll can make a real difference to people’s lives.

Register your interest in volunteering!

Who can volunteer?

Almost everyone! Sometimes we require expertise. For example, our Home Learning Project used volunteer English teachers to help vulnerable refugees learn English.

But mostly we just require people’s time and enthusiasm. So if you have some spare time, or some enthusiasm to spare, register your interest

Volunteering as part of support

We encourage the people we support to volunteer when they are ready. Volunteering can help them become more independent, learning skills, gaining training and improving confidence.

We have had over twenty volunteers in placements in the last year – and some of them, such as Yerusalem, have gone on to full time paid employment.
