Refugees and asylum seekers

We are one of the UK's leading providers of quality housing and support services to refugees, asylum seekers and new migrants.

Refugees and asylum seekers

We help facilitate and develop independence, easing refugee and asylum seekers' integration in to this country. We also promote the positive contribution that they make to the UK.

Our approach

We have specialised in supporting refugees since the 1950s and now operate a diverse range of services across London, the Midlands and Yorkshire. Our 120 specialist staff are skilled, experienced and committed. And we pride ourselves on supporting people from all over the world, no matter what their race or religion. We currently support refugees from over 40 countries, from Albania to Zimbabwe.

Services we offer include:

  • supported housing for 195 single adult refugees in eight London boroughs
  • floating support for 240 families and single people in London, the Midlands and South Yorkshire
  • supporting, receiving and housing for over 1600 asylum seekers under contract from the Home Office in the East Midlands
  • housing for unaccompanied young people aged 16-21 in London
  • the country's first dedicated 'refugee foyer', linking housing with education, training and employment services in Sheffield
  • a learning and education scheme that extended career opportunities to 180 refugees across Derby, Nottingham and Leicester between 2005-2008.
