Service users turned out in force for this year’s regional conference at The Spot in Derby on 30 July.
Over 250 service users from across the Midlands came together for the first time to find out more about our services, tell us how we can improve what we do and to have fun! It was also a great opportunity for the service users involved in running some of the activities to showcase their talents.
Highlights included:
- workshops to encourage active lifestyles, including salsa dancing and circus skills workshop
- workshops to encourage health and well being, including reflexology, Indian head massages, and a “mind-mapping” activity.
- music from the brilliant “Afro-innovation Group”, featuring Refugee Support service user Oscar Kote
- a Big Brother-style video booth to get feedback on the service we provide.
The feedback from service users will be used to improve what we do. In particular, we will use the feedback in personalisation projects, business planning for next year and the development of this website.
A big thanks to all the service users who helped organise and staff the day and for everyone who took part and made the day a success.
