Community investment
We manage Metropolitan Housing Partnership's (LINK) community investment unit.
The unit works with local organisations and supports activities to improve the quality of life for local people, and encourages their involvement in community projects.
We support local communities through projects that help:
- reduce isolation and poverty
- develop the potential of children, young people and adults
- make places safer and greener
- community groups and organisations to continue to meet local needs, through donations or by giving time.
Local residents, not just those with an MST and MHP connections, can benefit from our involvement in the communities in which we work. There are four key ways in which community investment is embodied within MHP. These are through:
- encouraging and developing universal support within MHP
- supporting key staff
- empowering local residents with new skills
- working in partnership across MHP and with external organisations to promote community cohesion.
